Wish I Can Help

In one of our girls' lunch out, mom gave a run down of people owing her some money. Some aren't that expensive, but the problem is, the people who owe her money are friends and relatives. True, it's really hard to ask people to pay up because mom doesn't want to hurt their feelings, but the thing is (and I am speaking personally), the fact that they told it's a debt or a loan (however you want to call it), they need to pay up, right? My mom worked hard for that.

Sister and I told mom that we can ask them to pay up, but really, even sister and I can't do it. Of course, they're our relatives, and they're people older than us, and asking them to pay up requires courage.. a whole lot of it.

Maybe what my mom needs is a Collection Agency or something so she won't be able to get shy to ask for payment. Well, right now, I don't know what mom will do about it, I just hope these people would just step up and pay up. I mean, if they were so brave to ask mom for money, I hope they would be brave enough to know that they owe money and just pay.

It's now 2009. Will people pay up what they owe to mom? I surely hope so.
