A Good Gift Idea

Mom and I attended a wedding yesterday. It's just a civil wedding, nothing fancy.. just two people in love and want to spend their lifetime together. It was a very solemn celebration, and we really felt the love the couple have for each other.

Mom is one of the godparents, but she wasn't able to prepare some gifts for them because she never had the time to shop for a suitable gift. Had we known about the Soy Candles, maybe mom was able to get that for them. Actually, in any kind of celebration, a candle can never go wrong. In this case, the newlyweds can use it for their honeymoon, or just to give a good mood into their home.

Talking about the newlyweds, normally they have giveaways or souvenirs, and candles can be a good giveaway, too. There are now wholesale soy candles they can purchase and just decorate it according to their preference. And because it's soy, it's very natural and earth friendly. soy votives is also a good thing to have, it's soy wax blended with natural botanical oils, perfect to suit anyone's fancy.

Tiramisu Meltdown

The other night, my sister accompanied me to the bloggers' event sponsored by Red Ribbon. She cannot join me to the function room as there was a head count, so she just stayed in the dining area. She ordered lasagna and had this cake - the Tiramisu Meltdown - as her cake. She loved the cake, but was a bit too sweet for her taste. Actually, my sister isn't really a fan of chocolates (just like me, although I love eating chocolate flavored foods, I just don't like eating chocolate candies), she just wanted to taste this to ease up her curiosity. She said she still loved Dulce de Leche.

Brother's Take on the Aliwan Fiesta

Like what I have said in my other blogs, brother and I were at the Aliwan Fiesta last Saturday. He brought with him our old digital camera (which my sister owns now), so of course, he took some pictures as well. Here are his shots, as chosen by me:

Floats:

weekend snapshots

Pulang Angui Festival Float (Albay)

Pamulinawen Festival Float (Laoag City)

Festival Queens:

Nathalie Grace Roberts - Dinagyang Festival (Iloilo City)

Stephanie Rae Paras - Ibon Ebon Festival (Candaba, Pampanga)

Street Dancers:

Karatong Festival (Dulag, Leyte)

Lapay Bantigue Festival (Masbate)

It was a really tiring day for the both of us, but it was all worth the muscle aches. It had been fun being with him and shoot pictures alongside with him.

Kitty Orangey and Halo-Halo

104/365 - He Feels Summer-y, Too!

There was a time a few days ago when I played with our new kittens, trying to take pictures of them when my brother asked if I wanted to eat some Halo-Halo. The answer was of course, "yes." I was in the middle of taking pictures of Kitty Orangey when the halo-halo came, so I put down the kitten first. Seeing him near the glass of halo-halo was quite hilarious (and cute), so when I saw him sniffing the food, I took a picture of it.

Big thanks to brother for buying the me halo-halo.

Gusali (Building)

{We asked the bus driver to drop us in Lawton on the day we visited the MV Doulos. We've been in this place numerous times and took pictures on different occasions, but this was the first time the three of us were together, so we didn't pass up the chance to take pictures.}

Feel the Rain

Feel the Rain

Emo?

Jump!

Our Sunday had been a little slow. Late afternoon yesterday, the rain came and we heard some voices in the street. It was our next door neighbors - Hero Miel and Czarina. Czarina said that they let the little boy play in the rain because the rain would help in easing up Hero Miel's prickly heat. I took my camera and my umbrella, but photographing the kid had been difficult as he was giddy about being out in the rain. Because I am using a point and shoot camera, freezing the rain drops was even more difficult, and seeing the pictures I took of the little boy, it didn't look like it was raining!

The rain stopped for a while and when it poured again, sister and I went out again. My sister wanted to take a shower in the rain, too, so she had been my model. I am still having problems capturing the rain drops, but at least I was able to try it.

Night time is when it rained the hardest. If it rains like that today, I will play in the rain, too!
